The PCAN-Ethernet Gateway enables the connection of different CAN buses through an IP network. CAN frames are encapsulated in TCP or UDP packets and then forwarded from one device to another via the IP network.

 

The gateway provides one LAN connection and two high-speed CAN interfaces. The DIN rail plastic casing and support for an extended temperature range make this module particularly suitable for industrial environments.

 

Configuration of the device is easily done through a web interface, and the JSON interface allows access through software. In addition to displaying various status information, both methods show device settings, communication interfaces, message forwarding, and filters.
