Baby-LIN-RM-III

Baby-LIN-RM-III

Multi-bus (LIN/CAN/CAN FD) emulation tool with digital/analog IO interfaces The Baby-LIN-RM-III can be connected to a PC via USB and can control LIN and CAN devices with the included LINWorks software or with your own software based on the Baby-LIN-DLL. With the Baby-LIN-RM-III module it is possible to control your LIN/CAN/CAN FD bus devices with digital signals from a PLC. Ideal for integration into test systems for long-term testing.

 Function Overview:

    • 8 digital inputs, 6 digital outputs, 3 analog inputs.
    • The four digital channels can read, calculate, map and convert PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals into bus signals. The digital outputs of the module can be controlled by the bus signal value, and the digital outputs can be configured as PWM outputs.
    • The two red and black programmable buttons on the module can be used to start or stop LIN or CAN communication or to assign any other function.
    • The module has 2 CAN/CANFD channel interfaces, and both interfaces have switchable terminal resistors, one of which supports low-speed CAN.
    • Baby-LIN-RM-III operating voltage 8-26V DC (12V recommended).
    • All communication interfaces (LIN, CAN, digital input, USB) are electrically isolated from each other, eliminating potential interference when connecting to a PC.
    • The Baby-LIN-RM-III includes a 32-bit microcontroller that can handle all time-critical tasks such as message timing.
    • Flash memory is used to save the firmware, so updates and upgrades are easy.
    • Baby-LIN-RM-III supports SDF-V3. The new version of SDF supports multiple bus selections, conditional macro commands, new system variables, new CRC functionality, and Sub Marco calls.
  • Local monitoring, real-time reading, recording, transmitting and displaying of LIN/CAN/CAN FD data
  • Supports LIN device diagnostics and DTL (Diagnostic Transport Layer) such as 3C/3D services.
  • Local modification and testing of all control parameters, message signals, frame timing, program timing
  • Baby-LIN's LIN bus transceivers support baud rates up to 200K. Although standard LIN devices support up to 20K, there are a growing number of high-speed LIN devices that exceed 20K communication rates, use non-LIN standard protocols, or are swiping a node at a higher baud rate, and require a supporting device to monitor and communicate. The Baby-lin-E06 can realize these applications in ASCII-Mode.
  • One price covers the functionality of many devices on the market: such as LIN Bus Emulator, LIN Bus Diagnostic, LIN Bus Tester, LIN Bus Analyzer, LIN Bus Adapter, etc...
  • Master-slave simulation and analysis of LIN nodes/systems to simulate bus participants that do not actually exist. For example, it simulates ECUs and other outgoing data, and supports virtual simulation, semi-physical simulation, and "listen-only" mode.
  • Supports event-based signal configuration, sequence control, error determination, and triggering actions.
  • Trigger actions to be performed (e.g. run or stop, send another message, change a signal value, etc.) by various event triggering conditions (signal events, message frame events, changed events, etc.)
  • Signal events include the result of comparison between signal values, the result of comparison between signal values and constants, and the range of signal changes.
  • Frame events include selected frames appearing on the bus, errors in frames (e.g. checks and errors, nodes not responding, etc.)
  • Changed events include a change in a signal value, or a change in a message frame.
  • Typical tests include: for example, when the product under test has an abnormality, detect the error through the LIN telegram, and control the equipment to stop running by Baby-LIN-RM-II or trigger a command to send; for example, after a fixed period of time, start to carry out a cycle of 8000 times of testing: forward and reverse, startup and running, different angles of the opening action, etc.; for example, the production line workers start the Baby-LIN-RM-III module to automatically complete a series of tests before the product leaves the factory: from startup to running to stop the continuous test. RM-III module automatically completes a series of tests before the product is shipped out of the factory: from start-up to running to stopping the continuous test.
