PCAN-View bus analysis software
The PCAN-View software for Windows is a simple CAN monitor for viewing, transmitting and recording CAN data traffic. Messages can be transmitted manually and periodically at a user-defined bit rate. Bus system errors and memory overflows in the CAN hardware are displayed during this process. The trace function can be used to record and save CAN data traffic.
PCAN-View is supplied with every PCAN PC hardware product and can be activated quickly and easily. The Connect dialog box lists all available PEAK CAN interfaces. After selecting the hardware and bit rate, the user has access to all software functions, hardware-specific settings and information.
Starting with version 4, PCAN-View supports the CAN FD standard (CAN with Flexible Data Rate), which is mainly characterized by a higher data transmission bandwidth.

- Supports CAN Specification 2.0 A/B and FD
- CAN bit rate (nominal) up to 1 Mbit/s
- Data bit rates up to 12 Mbit/s (CAN FD interface only)
- Optional use of custom bit rates
- Listen-only mode can be activated.
- Manual and periodic transmission of messages with a maximum resolution of 1 ms.
- Maximum resolution of 100 µs for message reception
- Recording messages in the tracking file

- CAN ID in hexadecimal or decimal format
- Data bytes in hexadecimal, decimal or ASCII format
- Display of reception, transmission and error statuses
