About the Role
We are an international company specializing in providing high-tech products and services, dedicated to meeting customer needs, and offering comprehensive solutions. A Database Engineer is a professional with expertise in database development and management, primarily responsible for developing and designing database functionalities according to client requirements to meet their needs. This position requires deep technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and teamwork abilities to understand customer requirements and provide personalized database solutions.
What You’ll Do
1. Collaborate with clients to thoroughly understand their needs and analyze their database functional requirements.
2. Design and implement database structures and functionalities based on client requirements. Responsible for database modeling, table design, development of stored procedures and triggers, ensuring database integrity and performance.
3. Optimize database performance to enhance query speed and data access efficiency. Perform database tuning, including design and optimization of indexes, table compression, and partitioning.
4. Manage database security, develop appropriate security policies and measures to protect the security and confidentiality of the database.
5. Monitor and maintain the operation status of the database system, troubleshoot, and resolve faults and issues. Provide technical support for the database, addressing customer inquiries related to database functionalities.
What You’ll Need
1. Bachelor’s degree holder or above in automotive electronics, automation, electronic information, control engineering and other related disciplines.
2. Familiar with Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle (at least two mainstream database technology)
3. Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact effectively with people of cross- cultural backgrounds.
4. Possess the ability to independently analyze and solve problems, able to quickly identify and resolve issues related to automotive electronics software and hardware.
5. Good command in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Hong Kong natives and Immediate available are preferred.
