PCAN-XL Kit
Take the first step towards a new standard of experience with ease.
The PCAN-XL kit includes a USB to CAN-XL interface, the experimental version of the professional CAN analysis software PCAN-Explorer 7, and the PCAN-Basic programming interface, providing the tools needed for first-time users to get started with the CAN XL standard.
Since CAN XL communication requires at least two bus nodes like traditional CAN, Avision offers a package option with one or two PCAN-USB XL interfaces in the kit model. Even if you don't have a suitable CAN XL interface at the moment, you can easily take the first step to experience the new standard.

PCAN-USB XL

The PCAN-USB XL interface is undoubtedly the hardware core of the kit. It can be connected to CAN XL, CAN FD and CAN CC buses through the USB interface on the PC side. It is also equipped with an electrical isolation function of up to 500V, which effectively separates the computer from the CAN bus and ensures the safety of the equipment. Its compact plastic housing design is ideal for mobile applications, making it convenient for on-site testing in the vehicle or carrying it between different workplaces.

PCAN-Explorer 7 Laboratory Edition

- Up to 16 CAN channels can be connected
- Multiple CAN interfaces can be connected at the same time, regardless of their hardware type.
- Supports CAN specifications including CAN CC (classic CAN 2.0), CAN FD and CAN XL (ISO 11898-1:2024)
- Supports CAN-XL operation modes: CAN XL with error signal, CAN XL without error signal, CAN XL with transceiver mode switch
- Display of CAN traffic with various information in the receive and send lists

- According to the CiA® 611-1 standard, CAN XL messages can be established by selecting a Service Data Unit Type (SDT), e.g. for Tunnel transmission of CAN FD frames.
