Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (HiL)

In a HIL application, multiple simulator boxes are connected and synchronized. Different types of sensors generate synchronized data streams for the ECUs in the airbag system, which are evaluated by the sensor simulation tool.

The HIL application is an extension of the sensor simulation. Multiple simulator boxes, even of different models, can be connected and synchronized. In this way, the various sensors in the airbag system can be synchronized to generate an ECU-specific data stream.

Test Bench and Data Acquisition

Individual chemical industry solutions, providing total system design for a wide range of applications.

Long-term Measurement

In automotive sensor technology, PSI5 sensors are tested for long-term stability and temperature stability during long-term measurements in a climate chamber. the Simulyzer-RT system is more suitable for high volume testing than the PSI5-Simulyzer because of its modular construction, which allows other interfaces to be tested at the same time, and because the Simulyzer-RT is equipped with more slots for sensor interfaces.

EMC Testing

One possible application of the PSI5 simulator is to monitor data from PSI5 sensors to test electromagnetic compatibility. Here the required interference immunity needs to be verified over the relevant interference frequency range.

Sensor Simulation

When using our standard GUI applications, CSV files containing signal characteristics can be imported. For self-built applications, signal characteristics can be passed in arrays via our API, and the user program can then populate these arrays from any database. Optionally, you can output the last value at the end of the signaling process, or repeat the sequence. In addition to signal sequences, protocol constants can be specified, such as init-data containing sensor types, serial numbers, dates, etc.

Hardware in the Loop

Typically up to 6 PSI5 emulators (or more) and multiple SPI emulators can be running simultaneously. For coordination purposes, there is an upper level configuration that determines which emulators to use, the corresponding signal traces for each emulator, and the detailed configuration of the required bus parameters. With this upper level configuration, the API is very easy to use, requiring only about 4 calls. Continuous control of sensor signals is also possible.
