Separation wafer
I. Universal introduction
In many experimental setups, it is necessary to separate content from a microfluidic input channel. The separator chip is specifically designed to uniformly distribute a microfluidic stream for downstream applications.
Product Type
Discrete Chip-Dead End Storage
The series of wafers allows to perform e.g. parallel batch PCR reactions from a single inlet. Thus, the inlet is divided into 8 or 10 separate chambers. Behind the chambers is a chamber with a closed air volume, which buffers the volume expansion/contraction during the thermal cycle. Since the air volume is closed, no loss of reagent due to evaporation occurs. The loading pressure is designed to be 250 mBar.
Separation Wafer-Flow Through Separation Wafer
This sub-series of diverter chips is particularly suitable for applications where a microfluidic stream needs to be split into multiple streams for downstream applications. The input of an inlet with a Mini Luer interface is split into four or eight (Fluidic 532) or even ten (Fluidic 487) streams, which are sampled through the corresponding outlets with Mini Luer interfaces. Both the Fluidic 532 and Fluidic 487 are available with enhanced capillary plugs, and the Fluidic 487 is also available with small chambers for on-chip analysis or inspection.
