A free PC application is provided to configure the device, as well as to monitor, record and simulate SENT communications. The device provides a communication protocol via its USB Virtual Serial Port (VCP) that allows users to integrate the device into existing systems such as test benches and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) devices. The protocol allows setting device parameters and sending/receiving SENT fast and slow messages, and also supports injecting CRC errors into fast and slow messages.
Supports fast, short and enhanced sequence message formats. Channel parameters (direction, tick time, half-byte count, filtering) can be configured by the user and the settings are stored in the device's non-volatile memory. Each SENT channel can be configured independently to suit a variety of usage scenarios: 2 receive channels/1 receive + 1 transmit channel/2 transmit channels.
