On February 14, 2025, HONGKONG CEO CHAN CHAU YU YUEN was invited to attend the "One Belt, One Road Multi-disciplinary Forum" organized by the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the One Belt, One Road Office, and was one of the representatives of the Mainland innovation and technology enterprises to exchange ideas with Hong Kong enterprises, professionals, startups, and other participants in the networking session of the "Green, Innovation and Others" sub-group.

I. Forum Focuses on "One Belt, One Road Exploring New Opportunities for Cooperation in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao

The forum brought together many industry elites, experts and scholars to explore how to deepen international cooperation under the framework of "One Belt, One Road" and promote global economic recovery and development.

At the opening ceremony of the Forum, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (SCED) of the HKSAR Government emphasized that Hong Kong's role as a bridge to the world with the Motherland at its back should be further leveraged, and called on the industry to strengthen cooperation to promote the construction of the "Belt and Road" to achieve new results.

During the subsequent roundtable discussion, guests exchanged views on "How Hong Kong's professional services can serve as a two-way springboard between the 'Belt and Road' and the China market", and agreed that Hong Kong has world-class professional expertise in the areas of accounting, engineering consultancy, medical, legal and insurance, etc., and is able to provide high-quality professional services to countries along the 'Belt and Road' route.

In the "Green, Innovation and Others" session, Mr. Chen Qiuyuan, CEO of Avision, gave a brief introduction of Avision's background and business, and shared that the company has successfully tackled the challenges through localized cooperation and technology customization strategies. In the future, Hong Kong will continue to leverage on Hong Kong's strategic advantages, deepen its relationship with local and international partners, and promote the research and development and application of more innovative technologies.
