Application Scenario 1: Steering Wheel Switch Function Test

The function test of steering wheel switch mainly includes: key detection and backlight function, heating function, HOD function and other tests, which can be completed by using BabyLIN series products. For example, using Baby-LIN-RM-III to test car switches, the following functions can be realized:

When a key is pressed on the steering wheel, the corresponding LIN signal is converted into a digital output event on the BabyLIN RM-III, which is output to the PLC for logical judgment to detect the key function of the steering wheel.

The backlighting and heating functions of the steering wheel switches can be enabled and operated by programming the SDF macro script to automatically activate the steering wheel when it is powered on, or manually activated.

Application Scenario 2: Control testing of various motors

Control testing of motors in automotive subcomponents (e.g. sunroof motors, air conditioning motors) can be realized with the BabyLIN series. By using different BabyLIN products, it is possible to test the control functions of motors in a personalized way:

Use Baby-LIN-RC-II to control the car sunroof motor. RC-II can control the motor with six buttons to realize different operations, and it can realize the functions of initializing, opening, and closing the glass motor and sunshade motor.

Using Baby-LIN-MB-II to control various motors of automobile air-conditioning system, it sends different serial commands through PC or PLC to control the operation of one or more motors, and monitor the operation status of the motors at the same time.

Application Scenario 3: Functionality Testing of RGB Ambient Lighting

Product detection of RGB scent lamps often requires the connection of multiple identical RGB scent lamps for simultaneous testing. The following is a four-wire functional test program for RGB scent lamps with diagnostic auto address assignment using BabyLIN products:


For applications where multiple identical nodes are tested on the same LIN network, an automatic address assignment function needs to be implemented. For the implementation of automatic address allocation, 3C diagnostic packets can be used for the request.

Adopting the function of SDF V3 version, the command of automatic address allocation is unitized and modularized by means of Protocol. After Frame ID assignment, it can realize different RGB lighting colors and brightness test.
