Advanced Timestamp Add

  • The future will bring connected and self-driving cars, which will require unprecedented amounts of data. One of the latest technologies to meet this challenge is Gigabit Car Ethernet.
  • The CM 1000 High MATEnet has 12 ports and can capture up to six point-to-point 1000BASE-T1 connections. The device uses hardware timestamps with a resolution of 40 ns and highly deterministic delay times to synchronize with and accurately analyze AVB/TSN traffic. For large amounts of data, standard Gigabit Ethernet and SFP+ with up to 10 Gbps interfaces provide sufficient bandwidth for the uplink of modern recording systems.
  • The appliance captures traffic without affecting the original network and can be used to analyze AVB/TSN traffic due to its ability to guarantee latency certainty and deliver timestamps with a resolution of 40 ns.

Highly scalable

  • Several capture modules of the same or different types can be combined on the same measurement network. Thanks to the built-in time synchronization, all devices work as one and all connected bus and Ethernet networks (100BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1) use the same time. This makes the capture module highly scalable and allows other in-vehicle network technologies (IVN) to be added to the measurement setup.

Suitable for general purpose testing

  • Many additional features make the device suitable for general purpose testing, such as activation of filters, user event triggering, and to some extent VLAN operation.
