Media Gateway is a development tool for testing and analyzing in-vehicle networks. It allows users to disconnect and sequentially loop through up to 12 100BASE-T1 based devices at the physical layer and establish virtual point-to-point connections that can filter and control the data flow (routing, mirroring, forwarding).

Easily implement filtering and control of data streams, and configure devices for use cases.

  • Media Gateway is the most versatile development and testing tool for in-vehicle networks using 100BASE-T1. Its built-in car gateway and 12 100BASE-T1 ports are capable of capturing traffic between devices while maintaining normal communications, as well as interacting with devices through your test setup. It supports single and dual tagging of VLANs, mirroring, forwarding, and more. Optional support for bi-directional CAN-to-Ethernet conversion and recording of FlexRay buses over Ethernet is also available.
  • The SFP slot supports commercial grade SFP modules (such as fiber optic or RJ-45), as well as our 100BASE-T1 SFP module, which is used to get the 13th Car Ethernet port. Or our 100BASE-T1 SFP module - which makes the Media Gateway ready for Gigabit Car Ethernet!
