- The Enhanced Ethernet Switch (EES) MATEnet is an automotive Ethernet switch with powerful AVB/TSN capabilities that allows users to connect up to eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 1Gb/10Gb ports via SFP+ connectors.
- It is the successor to Media Gateway.
- It enables virtual point-to-point connections using single-tagged VLANs (802.1q) and double-tagged VLANs (802.1q-in-q) for filtering and controlling data flows. Each port provides 8 levels of Quality of Service (QoS) leveling and advanced traffic filtering with ingress and egress rules to ensure prioritization, resource reservation and control mechanisms for incoming data.
- Through the internal configuration site, users can easily configure the device for their use case, abstracting away the complex underlying switch hardware. This includes VLANs, port mirroring, forwarding or filtering, deep inspection via TCAM rules, port segmentation, and many other features offered by Layer 2 switches.
Strong customization possibilities
- Enhanced Ethernet switches provide a reliable stack of gPTP/802.1AS automotive profiles for time synchronization, allowing for powerful customization possibilities to fit any customer use case. Our products also feature Audio Video Bridging (AVB), which can be statically configured with stream reservation and shaping (802.1Qav).
- The Enhanced Ethernet Switch is also ready to support other TSN features: 802.1Qav, Qci, Qbv, and Qbu, and can support customer-specific use cases if required. For more information, please contact the Avision sales team at
Provides wake-up and sleep functions
- The product also offers wake and sleep functions.
- Through the configuration website, EES supports "IEEE Mode" and "Legacy Mode" of Marvell 88Q2112 A2 PHY. Please refer to the Enhanced Ethernet Switch User's Manual for detailed technical description.
EES MATENET is a 1000BASE-T1 Car Ethernet Switch with AVB/TSN support. Allows users to connect up to 8 Gigabit Car Ethernet ports and 2 ports up to 1GB/10GB via SFP+ connectors. Can be used to implement VLAN, port mirroring, route forwarding or filtering, etc.
