Vaccine Logistics Temperature Monitoring Solution
WHO-compliant temperature monitoring solutions

Vaccine is a biological product made from various pathogenic microorganisms for the purpose of vaccination, which is given to the human body by injection or oral administration to strengthen the body's immunity to prevent specific infectious diseases. In recent years, with the development of the global public health industry and the advancement of vaccine research and development technology, the global vaccine market has been expanding. China is an important global producer and exporter of vaccines and has a strong vaccine production capacity. In 2021, against the backdrop of the New Crown epidemic, China's annual production capacity of New Crown vaccines will reach 5 billion doses.
Challenges in Vaccine Logistics
Temperature plays a critical role in the delivery of effective vaccines to patients, from the production floor to the user's exit from the vaccine logistics. Each vaccine product has a specific sensitivity to temperature based on the structure of the vaccine, the manufacturing method and the treatment process. Most liquid vaccines require refrigeration and are very sensitive to heat and cold. Therefore, it is important to monitor and manage vaccine temperature throughout the supply chain. However, there are a number of challenges, as described below.

seasonal vaccine
Large Temporary and Bulky Transportation
Donations and Delegated Distribution of Non-Governmental Organizations
Authorized control, requires end-to-end temperature monitoring
Products produced in low-cost countries are shipped to poor countries.
Difficulty in logistics, temporary transportation
No training and infrastructure on the receiving end
Need a simple temperature monitoring solution
Epidemiological status
High public concern, time constraints, government or military involvement
Government Tender
Cost pressures, buyer's risk
Simple and Effective Temperature Monitoring is Essential for Patient Safety

- To ensure the quality and efficacy of vaccines, it is important to monitor and manage vaccine temperatures throughout the supply chain.
Under the leadership of the World Health Organization (WHO), several non-governmental organizations have developed standards for vaccine cold chain logistics and temperature monitoring. Article 37 of the Vaccine Administration Law of the People's Republic of China clearly stipulates, "Disease prevention and control organizations, vaccination units, vaccine marketing licensees, and vaccine distribution units shall comply with the regulations on the management of vaccine storage and transportation, and ensure the quality of vaccines. Vaccines should be stored and transported in the prescribed temperature environment throughout the entire process, and cold chain storage and transportation should meet the requirements, and the temperature should be monitored and recorded at regular intervals".
The World Health Organization (WHO), in close collaboration with UNICEF, BARDA, PATH, Médecins Sans Frontières, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and many other non-governmental organizations (NGOs), has pre-certified a number of devices that can be used directly in the vaccine transport process based on the prescribed categories of Vaccine Data Loggers (VDRs), WHO Chemical Indicators (Vaccine Vial Monitoring (VVMs)), and Electronic Transportation Indicators (ETIs). Pre-approval of temperature recording devices that can be used directly in the transportation of vaccines.
HONGKE Vaccine Logistics Monitoring Program
In order to strictly comply with vaccine management regulations, realize automatic process temperature monitoring with high quality, protect vaccine quality and reduce transportation risk, we provide domestic customers with a variety of vaccine logistics process temperature monitoring solutions, the following is the detailed information of the solutions:
Temperature Indicator/Temperature Label
Pre-certified by WHO, the temperature is measured every minute and compared to a program-defined stability budget (alarm limits and allowable excursion times) to reflect the heat and/or cold sensitivity of the transported vaccine.
