ANN cannot be used on any camera. ids lighthouse software platform was developed specifically for training neural networks to perform image processing tasks and can be used with our 2D cameras. The rio/rome series NXT cameras are equipped with an AI core developed by us to perform inference in a hardware-accelerated manner. Our malibu models use a special AI gas pedal introduced by Ambarella.
The Malibu model in the NXT Smart Camera series enables AI-based image processing, video compression, video streaming, and output of results in the camera.
This AI-enabled industrial camera features the Sony Starvis 2 Series 8 MP rolling shutter sensor IMX678, which enables excellent image quality and superior low-light performance, as well as the ability to generate 4K video streams instantly from the camera. Yes, you can also train in the IDS lighthouse with images taken with your smartphone, as importing images can be done with simple folder storage.
The rio/rome series NXT Smart Camera can realize this function, but it must be converted to a suitable format.
If you are already using Keras (TensorFlow backend) for training, you can easily implement the conversion to network architectures such as MobileNet. We provide some specialized tools for this purpose, the suite NXT ferry.

No need, NXT Smart Camera integrates a 1.3 GHz Dual Core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU processor with an independent internal operating system, which can directly process the image and output the result in the edge computing after the image is transferred into the camera.
