Functional overview

The 10GBASE-T1 media converter is an in-vehicle device that converts MultiGig-T1 Ethernet (MultiGBASE-T1) to standard Ethernet (MultiGBASE-T), supporting the 10GBASE-T1, 5GBASE-T1, and 2.5GBASE-T1 standards. This converter provides bidirectional physical-layer conversion between 2.5/5/10 Gbps in-vehicle Ethernet (IEEE 802.3ch) and copper/fiber SFP+ modules.

The device supports the OPEN Alliance MACsec (TC17) and Sleep/ Wake-up (TC10) standards. It is equipped with one H-MTD connector (compliant with USCAR 777-U-002-1-Z01) and one SFP+ slot, compatible with any SFP+ module.

The T1 master/slave mode and baud rate can be easily configured using the on-board switches. When used with the free PC application, advanced configuration, status monitoring, and cable diagnostics can be performed via the USB interface. In addition, this converter can function as a USB-to-CAN(/FD) interface and supports simultaneous operation with the conversion function.
