Thermocouple Temperature Acquisition Module
MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD
MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD, thermocouple measurement module CAN collect and pre-process thermocouple measurement data and transmit it through CAN FD. It has 8 temperature measurement connection channels, and can choose different temperature range (T, K, J) models according to different product versions. Temperature can be obtained in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Kelvin using independent scale and error Settings. The measured data is transmitted by CAN FD or conventional CAN.
Data processing, message transmission, and LED indicators can be configured using the free Windows software Thermocouple FD Configuration. Configurations created on the computer are transmitted via the CAN bus to the MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD device, where they run on an independent CAN node. Multiple Thermocouple FD Configuration devices can be independently configured on a single CAN bus.

Technical support and paid services to drive your project to the limit.
HONGKE I/O modules are designed with harsh industrial environments in mind. Core products such as PCAN-MicroMod FD series motherboards and PCAN-MicroMod FD DR CANopen Digital 1 modules are housed in aluminum or high-strength plastic housings and support DIN rail mounting.
They also support extended operating temperature ranges (typically -40°C to +85°C) and feature wide voltage inputs (e.g., 8-30V DC) and I/O protection circuits. For example, the PCAN-MicroMod FD DR module provides power isolation up to 500V.
The above design ensures stable and reliable operation under vibration, high and low temperatures, and power fluctuations.
The highly modular design of the HTC solution provides an all-in-one data acquisition solution.
The core product PCAN-MicroMod FD / PCAN-MicroMod is a programmable I/O core board with integrated multiple analog inputs and digital I/O functions.
It can also be equipped with specialized modules for different functions, for example:
- Analog signal: PCAN-MicroMod FD Analog 1 (16-bit high precision ADC)
- Digital Signal: PCAN-MicroMod FD Digital 1/2 (High Side/Low Side Out)
- Temperature Signal: MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD Thermocouple Module (8 channels)
- Through the core board + dedicated module approach, you can flexibly build a data collection node that meets your actual needs.
HONGKEI offers the MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD thermocouple module, designed for multi-channel temperature measurement.
Key features include:
- 8 independent thermocouple inputs
- Supports J / K / T thermocouple types.
- Measurement range up to +1200°C
- Accuracy up to ±0.2%
With built-in signal conditioning and cold-end compensation, the module can output temperature data directly through the CAN FD bus with good interference immunity, which is very suitable for applications such as multi-point temperature monitoring of battery packs.
The I/O modules are based on CAN / CAN FD bus communication.
A decentralized data acquisition system can be achieved by connecting multiple I/O modules through a single CAN twisted pair cable.
The PCAN-MicroMod series, for example, can be configured with up to 32 module nodes in the same network.
This structure can be significantly reduced:
- Number of Cables
- System Weight
- Wiring Complexity
- Installation Costs
Expansion of the system is also possible by simply adding new modules to the bus.
No complex underlying programming is required.
Avision provides Windows graphical configuration tools such as PCAN-MicroMod FD Configuration.
User interface:
- Maps the input channel to the specified CAN ID.
- Setting a Data Byte
- Configuring Scaling and Offset
Once configured, it can be downloaded to the module and run as a standalone CAN node, automatically converting and transferring data.
This can be achieved with PCAN-Gateway series gateways such as PCAN-Ethernet Gateway FD DR.
The framework is as follows:
I/O Module → CAN Network → Gateway → In-vehicle Ethernet / WLAN
The gateway can be realized by converting CAN messages to TCP / UDP protocol for transmission:
- In-vehicle data sharing
- Remote Monitoring
- CarCloud
- Centralized Equipment Management
The system supports a variety of standardized integration methods:
- DBC file (standardized description format for CAN signals)
- CANopen / CANopen FD Industrial Agreement
- J1939 Agreement (via PCAN-Explorer plug-in)
Therefore, it can be easily integrated with SCADA systems, CANoe, PCAN-Explorer, and other host computer software.
You can.
With PCAN-MicroMod FD Configuration, you can configure the module's built-in function blocks, for example:
- Conditional Trigger CAN Report
- Simulation overrun alarm
- Simple Logic Control
Some products (e.g. PCAN-MIO) also support PPCAN-Editor 2, which can be realized:
- Mathematical Computing
- Logical Judgment
- Curve Control
This enables local pre-processing or simple control functions.
PCAN-GPS series modules (e.g. PCAN-GPS Pro FD) can be used.
The device is integrated:
- GNSS receivers (GPS / Beidou, etc.)
- Triaxial Accelerometer
- Gyroscope
- Magnetometer
All data is processed internally and output via the same CAN FD channel, enabling time-synchronized recording of vehicle motion and bus data.
Avision offers Evaluation Board evaluation kits.
An example is the PCAN-MicroMod FD Evaluation Board:
- Lead all I/O pins out to the wiring terminal
- Integrated USB / RS-232 interface
- Supports rapid circuit testing and functional verification
Evaluation kits also typically include a PCAN-USB FD interface and cables for an out-of-the-box prototyping environment.
