- The device establishes direct point-to-point conversion between automotive ECUs using the 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1 multi-gigabit standard and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with SFP+ compatible modules.
- During the conversion process, the device does not store or modify any data packets.
- Conversion occurs at the physical layer with high reliability.
- The device is the first of its kind to realize multi-gigabit physical layer media converter functionality, using the 88Q4364 2.5G/5G/10GBASE-T1 IEEE 802.3ch Car Ethernet-compatible PHY.

Any standard two-way conversion
- The device enables bi-directional conversion between multi-gigabit on-board Ethernet standards (2.5/5/10GBASE-T1) to any other Ethernet standard using SFP+ modules, with rate-matching functionality to support interfaces between different line speeds.
- No custom driver is required to interact with the media converter.
Convenient and intuitive
- A galvanized steel portable housing with easily configurable DIP switches allows the user to interact with the converter effortlessly. Its design makes it portable and easy to mount on a test stand. The metal housing gives it rugged IP20 protection.
- These devices can also be accessed using a USB connector to read PHY register values and information about link quality and SQI.
- Using the built-in status LEDs, the operation of the device is transparent, helping testers intuitively inspect links and data transfers.
Therefore, the MEDIA CONVERTER MULTIGIGABIT is the ideal solution for the fast and efficient application of the new 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1 technology. No additional cabling, customized connectors and vendor-specific tools are required.

Product Features
1. Allows easy connection to the ECU via a 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1 multi-gigabit onboard Ethernet port.
2. Supports line speed rate matching to accommodate different bandwidths between the T1 line speed of the 2.5/5/10GBASE-T1 interface and the line speed of the SFP+ module side negotiator.
3. Support different SFP+ modules (10GBASE-T, Optical, Direct Attach Cable) to adapt to customer's usage scenarios
4. Optical SFP+ modules are supported, so they can be used to perform EMC tests.
5. I/O signals for easy interface with automation systems
- Input signal to enable "forced slave mode" and "forced link break".
- Output signal for notification of "link connection status".
